New project sneak peak..

This is our main bathroom.

The toilet is in a separate room.

Oh how I hate these two rooms....

We have renovated quite a lot of our house .It seems like that is all we do ha ha ha  ...

Anyway the time has come to finally renovate these two rooms...

I have been wanting to do this for years .We bought the vanity and tiles last year but just didn't do anything but its full steam ahead now ...

The skip bin has arrived.....

The demolition has begun....

Kevin has a little helper...

Kev said he is doing an amazing job he knocks off the tiles then puts them in a bucket and carry's them out to the skip bin and empties it then is back to taking the tiles off again all while looking cute in his boxers he he he ....

So this is just a sneak peak  I will keep you up to date on our progress....

Busy school week

What a busy week for Aidan at school last week...

It started off with St Patricks Day Cupcakes..  this went down real well with his classmates...

Then the next day was Harmony Day and they had to wear orange accessories....hence the socks...

Of course that included orange hair spray.....

He looks like Ginger Meggs I love the orange....

Two days later they had Pink Day to raise money for Breast cancer....

This time they were allowed to dress in pink clothes  -we went with tshirt  and pink socks and.....

 Yes PINK hair spray...

Lucky it washes out really well....

Aidan looked great...and to top it off they had a lunch time disco and every one got a special pink water bottle and a pink donut...

Busy week hey but that's not all.....

When he went to gymnastics that night  which by the way he is loving it...

He got an award for passing his first level.....

So yes it was a busy week  but it was also a fun week where lots of memories have been made

My bedroom remodel

We well...... OK I decided it was time to  redo my room.

What was just to be new carpet ended up being a full on job.....

We had already got rid of the glass wardrobe doors and have lovely new ones...

So we painted all the walls Lexicon white which is my favourite white....

Then I decided I wanted a feature wall again after I said no I don't want one and we painted that wall white.

So then we had to pick a colour for that  I chose Puppy ...

Whoop Whoop new carpet looks very similar to what I had till you walk on it omg it is wonderful...

Kev repainted the doors in the gloss..I cant believe how dirty the old colour looks...

Photo bombed by my fur baby...

I bought this new quilt cover as I was sick of the plain white and just wanted a touch of colour- now to get some European cushions and some pillows....

Urghh  cleaning and washing my crystal what a job that was but gee they all looked great when finished.

Here is my new quilt cover with the European cushions and more pillows...I go with the thought that there is no such thing as too many cushions...

My stool that my friend Fiona painted for me...

Having the walls painted white now is beautiful.

This room feels so clean and fresh now everything matches perfectly loving it....

Just wanted to give you a sneak peak of my new vanity for the ensuite. The renovations for this will start just after Easter....

Check out Kevin's face in the mirror as he tries to work out how will it fit ha ha ....

My new white stool...

I have bought a lot of furniture from Fiona at Lilyfield Life   and I would recommend her to any one she does such a beautiful job...

Recently she posted that she had this stool for sale either as is or she would paint it.

It was a cute stool just a nice size and the tops lifts so you can put something in there if you want...

Well I wanted it....

Fiona painted it the same colour as the rest of my bedroom furniture (that she has painted for me)-Lexicon White....and covered the stool pad in a lovely neutral colour.

I am very happy with it ....

It looks great where it sits under my window.

So once again thanks Fiona for another beautiful piece of furniture for my house..

My health

Urghh what a scary past week.

I had found a lump in my breast so off we went for a mammogram.

While having this the doctor came in and decided I needed a ultrasound as well great...

So that was a lot better than the mammogram if that can be possible anyway I went home to have a crap night worrying about the results.

Thankfully nothing to worry about.

I have a lot of scare tissue where I had lumps removed from my boobs before and lots of calcification in both breasts which they said not to worry about.

I do  have two masses one in each breast that they want me to come back in 3-6months to see if anything has changed.

So like I said before I go one step forward two steps backwards.

Warragamba Dam

When mum was down for a visit we decided to go to a market but when we got there it had been cancelled so we headed home disappointed....

Then I had a thought why don't we go to Warragamba dam it was on our way home and I hadn't been there for over 30 years Kevin said it was about the same for him..

So off to the dam we went...

I was surprised at how much it had changed-yes I know it had been 30nyears but still it was so different but on the other hand it was great...

What did surprise me was the Aidan enjoyed it ....he must be growing up cause we could explain things to him and he took it all in.

Here is Aidan standing in front of one of the values they used in the making of the dam...

Kev is standing on one of the viewing platforms  here...

Here is our beautiful dam...

Hard to believe that this dam supplies Sydney's water isn't it....

Years ago you could walk across the dam wall but now they have stopped that.Which is a shame but people were throwing things into the dam and I think safety issues were a problem too.

My two "dam' cute boys ha ha  yeah I think I'm funny...

A new addition was the visitors centre and this interactive table which you touched and moved and details of the dam appeared.

Aidan just like doing it fast and playing around on it ha ha ...

So if your in Sydney and want somewhere nice to go for a picnic head out to Warragamba Dam lots and lots of picnic areas with shelter and plenty of toilets and great car parking and its all FREE...

Happy BELATED birthday Aidan.

I cant believe I didn't post this like it is such an important event for us and like I said yesterday I use this blog as a family journal and get it printed each year so of course I needed this event....

For Aidan's 7th birthday he wanted a magic party....

So I found a magican and gee he was the best 24 kids sat transfixed for over an hour while he entertained them.

Best money ever spent....

We got a beautiful rabbit popping out of a hat cake which was another hit with everyone...

As part of the kids treat bags I got top hats and a wand for every child yes!!!! another success.

Our colour scheme was red black and yellow with playing cards all around..

I couldn't have wished for a better day Aidan loved it as did his friends and Jaxon thought it was pretty good as well.

We even had our grand daughter Shakira here for the party ....

The only thing missing was my mum as she couldn't come....

So sorry I am late and I mean very late with this post but yeah I finally did it....

Happy Belated 7th Birthday Aidan we love you xxx
